Xcode 27.0 Metal Toolchain download stuck at "Beginning asset download..."
Hi everyone, I downloaded Xcode 27.0 today because I need the Metal Toolchain for Unreal Engine 5.6 on my Mac. Xcode itself is installed and working, but Unreal is having issues because the Metal Toolchain doesn't seem to be installed. When I run: xcrun metal --version I get: error: error: cannot execute tool 'metal' due to missing Metal Toolchain; use: xcodebuild -downloadComponent MetalToolchain I tried: sudo xcodebuild -downloadComponent MetalToolchain but it just stays on: Beginning asset download... If I cancel it, I get: xcodebuild: error: Download was cancelled. (Asset download for com.apple.MobileAsset.MetalToolchain ...) I've also run: xcodebuild -runFirstLaunch and installed the latest Command Line Tools for Xcode 27.0 through Software Update. xcrun --find metal does find the executable, but the actual Metal Toolchain appears to be missing. I'm mainly trying to get this working so I can use Unreal Engine 5.6. Has anyone had this issue with Xcode 27, or know the correct way to install the Metal Toolchain when xcodebuild -downloadComponent gets stuck at "Beginning asset download"? Thanks!

Unable to Update Developer Account Details or Convert to Organization After Renewal — Support Not Responding
Hello, I recently renewed and paid for my Apple Developer Program membership (after 10 years of pause), expecting that I would be able to update my outdated account information and convert my Individual membership to an Organization membership. Unfortunately, I'm still unable to make these changes. Here's the situation: My developer account is registered under my previous legal name and address, which I need to update. I want to convert my Individual membership to an Organization membership for my registered company. App Store Connect does not allow me to make these changes directly and instructs me to contact Apple Developer Support. I've already submitted two support requests 4 days ago and 2 days ago, but neither has received a response. There is no live chat or phone support available to me. The frustrating part is that I've just paid for the membership, but I cannot update my account details or complete the conversion needed to publish my new app under my company. Could someone from the Apple Developer Team please advise how to escalate this issue or reach the team responsible for membership updates and organization conversions? Has anyone in the community experienced a similar situation and found a way to get support? One last question, once I update to business profile, can I add my friend also as admin with same rights? I've added him now, but he can't add app or do anything important. Permssions are full. Thank you.

Unable to Accept Apple Developer Agreement or Renew Membership – App Removed from App Store
Hello Apple Developer Community, We are seeking assistance with an ongoing issue affecting our app, AIGENIS: понятные инвестиции, which has been unavailable on the App Store for almost two months. We are currently facing two issues with our Apple Developer account: 1. Unable to Accept the Updated Apple Developer Program License Agreement App Store Connect displays a notification stating that the Apple Developer Program License Agreement has been updated and must be accepted. However, we are unable to complete this action. 2. Unable to Renew Our Apple Developer Program Membership Another notification states that our Apple Developer Program membership has expired and that our app has been removed from the App Store until the membership is renewed. Unfortunately, we are also unable to renew our membership through the Apple Developer account. We have contacted Apple Developer Support multiple times. Our case is still under investigation, but we have not received any clear instructions or an estimated resolution date. We were also advised to contact provider_review@apple.com, but have not received a response. Could someone please help us understand: 1. Could these two issues be related? 2. Could this be caused by a synchronization issue between Apple Developer and App Store Connect? 3. How can we accept the updated agreement and renew our membership if these actions are unavailable? 4. Is there a way to escalate this issue to the appropriate Apple team? Our app has been unavailable for almost two months, preventing customers from downloading it. Restoring its availability is extremely important to our business. Support ticket: 102978608429 Apple Account: dev@aigenis.by App name: AIGENIS: понятные инвестиции We would greatly appreciate any guidance or assistance in resolving this issue. Thank you!

Apple Developer Program enrollment blocked since 28 August 2026 – no response from Support (Case ID: 102973162608)
Hi everyone, I have been trying to enroll in the Apple Developer Program since 28 August 2026, and my issue is still not resolved. For over a month now, Apple Developer Support has not replied to me at all. I have emailed Developer Support many times, submitted my ID when they asked for it and followed every step they gave me. Still, no response. I have also called Apple Support 6 times and used chat support 3–4 times. Every time I am told they have no link to the Developer team and that I can only reach them by email. But the Developer team does not answer email, so I am stuck with no way forward. My app is ready to launch and I have already spent money on marketing. Every day of delay adds to my financial loss. I am ready to provide any verification Apple needs. If my enrollment cannot be completed, they should at least tell me. Leaving a developer with no reply for over a month is very shameful behavior from the Apple Developer team. Case ID: 102973162608 Latest Ticket: 103011417221 Has anyone else faced this? How did you finally get a response from the Developer team? Any advice would really help. Thanks, Shaher Yar

Node.js aborts before JavaScript execution under sandbox-exec on macOS — LIBIGNITION termination code 2
I am investigating a startup failure when running Node.js under a restrictive sandbox-exec profile. I would appreciate guidance on diagnosing the failure and on a supported way to run a command-line process with restricted filesystem access and no network access. I have not established whether this is caused by my profile, the operating system, or another interaction. Environment macOS 26.6.2, build 25G83 Apple silicon, ARM64, without Rosetta Official Node.js 22.23.4 darwin-arm64 distribution; its archive SHA-256 matches the published checksum Python 3.14 launching the process from Terminal No sudo, application code, third-party JavaScript modules, credentials, or real user data The Node version above identifies the downloaded distribution. I have not confirmed a successful node --version execution in this restricted environment. Launch configuration The invocation has this form: /usr/bin/sandbox-exec -f <PROFILE> <NODE> -e <JS> <INPUT> <WORK>Python uses subprocess.Popen, with: Working directory set to <WORK> start_new_session=True Standard output and error captured through pipes A 10-second execution deadline and a 6-second termination/cleanup allowance Only these environment variables are supplied; the parent environment is not inherited: PATH=<NODE_DIR>:/usr/bin:/bin HOME=<WORK> TMPDIR=<WORK>NODE_OPTIONS and DYLD_* are not set. The JavaScript starts with: console.log("NODE_JS_ENTRY");It then uses node:fs to read a synthetic input and write markers in the permitted work directory. The initial console marker is never observed. Filesystem and network restrictions The profile uses (deny default) and (deny network*). It permits process creation, execution of the specified Node binary, and sysctl-read. File reads are allowed for the Node binary, synthetic input/work directories, /System/Library, /usr/lib, and the specific devices /dev/null, /dev/random, and /dev/urandom. Ancestor-directory metadata access is listed using individual literal paths. Writes are allowed only inside the work directory. The Node binary and synthetic fixtures are in separate dedicated directories under the user's Documents directory. This is a description of the profile, not a complete runnable reproduction. Paths are anonymized here. I tested two additional permission variants: A — ancestor metadata and existence checks: (allow file-read-metadata file-test-existence (literal "/System/Volumes") (literal "/System/Volumes/Preboot"))A+B — the above plus Cryptexes reads and executable mapping: (allow file-read* file-map-executable file-test-existence (subpath "/System/Volumes/Preboot/Cryptexes"))Neither variant resolved the startup failure. No general Mach/IPC permissions, broad /etc read access, localhost access, or system.sb import were added. Observed results The original profile and both variants terminated with SIGABRT, without the initial JavaScript marker. For A and A+B: Python reported child return code -6. Standard output and error were both empty. The parent sent no termination signal; these were not timeout terminations. The direct child was reaped, and its process group was no longer present. For two earlier executions using the original profile, I matched saved crash reports to the process and Node binary image. They showed: Exception: EXC_CRASH / SIGABRT Termination namespace: 0x23 Termination code: 2 Termination flags: 582The stack included: __abort_with_payload abort_with_payload_wrapper_internal abort_with_reason ignition_halt boot_boot ignite dyld4::CacheFinder::CacheFinder dyld4::ProcessConfig::DyldCache::DyldCache dyld4::ProcessConfig::ProcessConfig dyld4::start startApple's public XNU definitions identify namespace 35 as OS_REASON_LIBIGNITION. I have not established the meaning of code 2 for this OS build. I have not inspected matching crash stacks for A or A+B, so I cannot claim they stopped at the same internal location. Questions Is sandbox-exec a supported mechanism for this use case on this macOS version? If not, what supported approach can enforce both restricted filesystem access and no network access for a command-line process and its children? What diagnostic information would distinguish a missing sandbox permission from a loader/cache initialization problem? Does this termination signature suggest a documented diagnostic procedure or known issue? My goal is to reach JavaScript execution while preserving the restrictions, rather than broadly allowing filesystem access or network communication. I can provide a sanitized profile and relevant diagnostic excerpts if needed. Thank you. Correction and update after checking the saved crash reports: The original-profile runs were on macOS 26.6.2 (25G83), while the A and A+B runs were on macOS 26.7.2 (25G332). My initial post did not distinguish these environments correctly. The saved reports for A and A+B have now been matched to the recorded execution times, process IDs, and Node image information. Both show SIGABRT, termination namespace 0x23, code 2, and the same 11-frame sequence of function names and offsets as the original-profile reports, including ignite, boot_boot, and ignition_halt. The Node image UUID is unchanged, but the OS version and dyld image identifiers differ. These results therefore must not be treated as a controlled comparison in which only the sandbox profile changed. The matching termination signatures do not establish an identical root cause. The specific reason for LIBIGNITION code 2 remains unknown. No additional executions or permission changes have been performed.

Guideline 4.3(a) – Design - Spam Rejection: No Actionable Clarification Despite Multiple Follow-Ups and Resubmission
I am looking for guidance from Apple or other developers who have experienced a similar Guideline 4.3(a) rejection. I submitted an independently developed iPhone/iPad application, Canvasz AI: Passport ID Photo, for App Review. On September 30, 2026, the app was rejected under Guideline 4.3(a) – Design – Spam, with a general statement that the app appeared to share a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept with apps submitted by other developers. The problem is that I have not been able to determine what Apple actually considers similar. Canvasz AI was developed independently and was not created from a purchased template, white-label application, cloned application, or repackaged source code. The application includes product-specific functionality such as: Real-time face-position and distance guidance before taking a photo On-device face detection and format-aware automatic framing Passport/document head-size framing logic On-device background segmentation, matting, and replacement without uploading the user's photo to a processing server One source photo converted into multiple destination classes, including passport/visa/ID photos, profile images, social-media formats, and banners Batch generation/export of supported formats from one source photo An enhancement pipeline intended to preserve facial detail rather than apply a generic beauty filter Seven localized languages iPhone and iPad layouts Portrait and landscape support No account or signup requirement Core photo processing that works locally/on-device Following the rejection, I replied through App Store Connect asking whether the concern related specifically to: Binary/source-code similarity Metadata Visual assets/UI The application concept itself I also performed an additional source-provenance and similarity audit. The audit documented progressive source-control history and compared Canvasz AI against my other independently developed applications. It found no byte-identical application-specific source/assets across the compared applications, the common files identified were normal Flutter/iOS/Android generated framework/scaffolding files. I attached the forensic technical clarification report to App Review and offered to provide source-control history, architecture information, screenshots, development evidence, or additional technical information if required. I first replied on September 30 and followed up again on October 5. I still did not receive clarification identifying the actual similarity concern. I subsequently resubmitted the application on October 12, 2026, with detailed App Review notes and the forensic report attached. As of October 25, 2026, both the app and its in-app purchase remain Waiting for Review. I understand that App Review may require additional time, especially after a previous Guideline 4.3 rejection. I am not asking for special treatment or asking Apple to disclose another developer's confidential application or internal detection systems. What I need is enough actionable information to understand how to comply. Apple's published Guideline 4.3 states that apps in established categories may be accepted when they provide a meaningfully different or improved experience. I therefore have three specific questions: If an independently developed application receives a 4.3(a) rejection referring to "binary, metadata, and/or concept," how can the developer determine which of those dimensions actually caused the rejection? If source provenance and independent development evidence are provided, but no clarification is received, what additional evidence is normally useful for demonstrating that an application is not a template, clone, or repackaged application? For the "meaningfully different or improved experience" standard, should differentiation be evaluated on the complete user workflow and experience, or is overlap in individual features sufficient to trigger Guideline 4.3? I have invested significant development, testing, localization, and product-design effort into building a genuine application intended to provide useful functionality to users. I fully respect Apple's need to prevent spam, cloned apps, white-label applications, and low-effort template submissions. I support that objective. However, without knowing whether the concern is source code, metadata, UI/assets, or the concept itself, it is extremely difficult for an independent developer to make a meaningful correction instead of making speculative changes. I would appreciate guidance from Apple or developers who have encountered this situation and successfully obtained actionable clarification. Thank you.

Urgent: Apple Developer Program enrollment blocked for 1+ months, no response from Support (Case ID: 102973162608)
Hello Apple Developer Team and Community, I am posting here publicly because I have used every official channel available, and after a month my enrollment issue is still unresolved. My emails have gone unanswered for weeks. What happened On 28 August 2026, I tried to enroll in the Apple Developer Program and got this error: “Your enrollment in the Apple Developer Program could not be completed at this time.” I contacted Developer Support the same day (Ticket: 20000149763302). On 31 August, Apple told me my trusted device or phone number was associated with an existing Developer or Enterprise account. I followed every step they gave me and removed my device and number from all developer accounts. After getting no reply to my follow-up on 19 September, I opened a new case on 23 September (Case ID: 102973162608). On 25 September, Apple sent the same response again and asked for my ID. I submitted my ID the same day and confirmed that my iPhone is not linked to any developer account. On 29 September, Apple confirmed they had “made the necessary changes” to my account and asked me to continue with enrollment. The new problem On 30 September, I tried to enroll again. My national ID (CNIC) does not include a street number, so the system could not accept the address on it. I entered my postal address instead. After two or three attempts, my ID verification was rejected. I reported this to Apple right away. On 3 October, Apple replied with the same trusted-device message as before, even though that issue had already been resolved on 29 September. I replied the same day and explained that this is a completely different problem. Since then: no response at all I followed up on 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 12 and 28 October and got no reply. On 30 October, I submitted another ticket (Ticket: 103011417221). I have also called Apple Support about six times and used chat support three or four times. Every time I am told the same thing: “We have no direct link to the Developer team. You must contact them by email.” But the Developer team does not reply to email. I have no way forward. This is very shameful behavior from the Apple Developer team. A company of Apple’s size and reputation should not leave a developer completely ignored for over a month, with no reply, no explanation and no way to reach anyone who can help. Why this matters My app is fully developed and ready to launch. I have already invested in marketing, and I am now more than a month past my planned release date. Every extra day of delay adds to my financial loss and puts all of that work and money at risk. My request I am ready to provide any verification Apple needs, including identity documents, proof of address or anything else. And if there is a reason my account cannot be enrolled, I simply ask to be told. Leaving a developer with no reply for more than a month is not acceptable for a company of Apple’s standing. I respectfully but urgently ask Apple Developer Support to: Review Case ID 102973162608 and Ticket 103011417221 Resolve my ID and address verification issue Reply to me with a clear status or the next steps If anyone in the community has faced and solved a similar problem please help me to responsed back how can i get this issue to be solved, I would really appreciate your advice. Thank you, Shaher Yar

Apple Developer Account Enrolment Blocked for "one or more reasons"
I've been trying to sign up to the developer program and the response I've gotten is weird. "For one or more reasons, your enrollment in the Apple Developer Program couldn't be completed. We can't continue with your enrollment at this time." Is there absolutely nothing I can do to fix this? I can't even get a reason for why my enrolment has been blocked. I've tried signing up on 3 different devices and they all have different reasons for why I can't continue. iPhone: "Unable to Continue. Contact support" iPad: ID Verification Rejected MacBook: Unable to Verify (Tried driver's licence and passport, passport matches my Apple ID name exactly.

Apple Developer Program Enrollment Stuck "In Review" for Over 2 Months (Enrollment: CG25DT3GHX)
Hello everyone, I am reaching out to see if anyone has experienced a similar prolonged delay or knows how to get past a bottleneck with organization enrollments. Our company account enrollment (Enrollment ID: CG25DT3GHX) has been completely frozen in the review stage for over two months now. We have verified our D-U-N-S data and corporate alignment, but the dashboard hasn't budged. To make matters worse, email support has been completely unresponsive. We have opened multiple cases, with our most recent active support case being 103003534618, but we have not received any meaningful updates or next steps. If any community members or moderators have advice on how to escalate an organization enrollment past a multi-month silence, I would greatly appreciate your guidance. Thank you!

ALANN iOS App Review Pending Since September 21 – Seeking Guidance
Hello Apple Developer Community, Our app, ALANN, has been going through the App Store review process since September 21, 2026, and we are still unable to complete the review. As of October 27, our latest submission remains in “Waiting for Review,” unchanged since October 16. Despite our continued efforts, the prolonged delay is having a significant impact on our business: Business launch delayed: We are unable to proceed with our planned iOS launch. Ongoing financial losses: The delay is affecting our planned operations and causing financial losses while we wait for the app to become available. Previous feedback addressed: We have implemented the requested changes and provided dedicated Individual Seller and Dealer test accounts, pre-populated data, payment testing details, and detailed review instructions. Multiple escalation attempts: We have contacted Apple Developer Support several times and submitted an expedited review request. No clear update: Despite these efforts, the submission remains in “Waiting for Review,” and we have not received a clear explanation for why the review has not started. We understand that App Review timelines can vary, but the continued uncertainty is making it increasingly difficult to manage our launch plans and business commitments. Has anyone experienced a similar delay despite providing all requested information and following up through official support channels? Is there an appropriate way to request clarification on the review queue status? We would genuinely appreciate any practical guidance or relevant experiences from the developer community. Regards,Team ALANN

Custom DWARF_DSYM_FOLDER_PATH breaks dSYM copying during "xcodebuild archive" job
It has always been this way. But I wonder why? Having the minimal xcode project, if you building and archive with: xcodebuild archive -project sample.xcodeproj -scheme sample -configuration Release -destination 'generic/platform=macOS' -archivePath out/sample.xcarchive DWARF_DSYM_FOLDER_PATH='out/dsym'final xcarchive will have empty dSYMs directory. At the same time, out/dsym/sample.app.dSYM exists. So it turns out that dSYM generation respects DWARF_DSYM_FOLDER_PATH variable, but archiving operation - doesn't. From my point of view, this is not logical because I explicitly specified the location and this location works partially. Am I missing anything? Is there some other variables that controls where archiving searchs for dSYM? Because at this moment it looks like it is internally hardcoded to somewhat like "$(BUILD_DIR)/$(CONFIGURATION)" Any help is appreciated, Best regards!
