ITMS-90885 “${executable}” in bundle “${bundle}” is missing a provisioning profile
I'm struggling to get past the following error from Transporter. I've tried everything I can think of and I'm not sure what else to do. WARNING ITMS-90885: ""Cannot be used with TestFlight because the executable “${executable}” in bundle “${bundle}” is missing a provisioning profile but has an application identifier in its signature. Nested executables are expected to have provisioning profiles with application identifiers matching the identifier in the signature in order to be eligible for TestFlight."" Setup I'm using electron with a main.app and nested helper apps (e.g. Main.app/Contents/Frameworks/Main Helper (Renderer).app) I'm trying to upload to the Mac App Store I'm codesign-ing the contents with Apple Distribution: ... and signing the pkg installer with 3rd Party Mac Developer Installer: ... I'm using osx-sign to manage the code signing for me: basically it's doing a whole bunch of this: codesign --sign {40-char-hash} --force --timestamp --options runtime --entitlements "$CHILD_PLIST" "packages/mas-universal/{APP_NAME}.app/Contents/Frameworks/{APP_NAME} Helper (Renderer).app"

Which certificate for MAS submission? "Apple Distribution" vs "Mac App Distribution"
I am struggling with uploading my Mac-only app to TestFlight. I used to do this with Xcode 13.4.1 for a while without trouble, but now I have built the app with Xcode 27.1 and am getting issues such as ITMS-90885 and ITMS-90288 and I cannot figure out how to make it work. I have now at least realized that I seem to need to create a new provisioning profile because the one was using is missing some entitlement(s). To create a new profile, I need to create also a new certificate at https://developer.apple.com/account/resources/certificates/add But there's already my first hurdle: There are two types that allow upload the to MAS: "Apple Distribution" and "Mac App Distribution". Which one should I choose? I even googled for help but found nothing more than what the above website says. It's not clear what the difference is when I only want to submit to the MAS, and whether choosing the wrong one may already be part of the problem I'm having now with uploading my app. Can someone please explain in more detail if they're having exclusive behavior when using them to upload Mac apps to the MAS and TestFlight?

App Stuck in "Waiting for Review" for 14 Days After Resubmission
Hello Apple Developer Support Team, I would appreciate your assistance regarding a prolonged review delay for my app. App Name: Chat Mate for Messenger App ID: 6762255821 My app was previously rejected, and after addressing the review feedback, I resubmitted the update. However, it has now been 14 days and the app remains in "Waiting for Review" status without any further communication or review activity. This project is extremely important to me and my team. We have worked diligently to resolve all issues raised during the previous review and are very eager to launch the app. The extended delay is significantly impacting our planned release schedule and ongoing work. Could you please investigate the status of this submission and help move the review process forward if possible? We would greatly appreciate any update or assistance in getting the app reviewed and, if approved, made live as soon as possible. Thank you for your time and support. Best regards, Muhammad Ahmed

Urgent: Pinland missing from US/AU/UK brand searches; quoted query finds it — marketing campaign affected
I am the developer of Pinland, a macOS app (App ID 6793889737; Bundle ID com.zeenzhao.pinland). For approximately one month, customers searching the accurate brand name pinland in the US, Australian and UK Mac App Store website results have been unable to find the app. The product record is accessible, and changing only the query by adding literal double quotes makes the same app appear. This is urgent: I am currently running promotional activities for Pinland. Users who follow the promotion and search the advertised app name cannot find it. This is causing lost users, wasted promotional effort and financial loss. I urgently need the responsible team to investigate and resolve this issue as soon as possible. Latest reproduction: 2026-10-14 23:23 China Standard Time (UTC+08:00). US: pinland does not return Pinland in the displayed results; "pinland" with literal double quotes returns it first. Australia: pinland does not return Pinland; "pinland" returns it fourth. UK: pinland does not return Pinland; "pinland" returns it fourth. Reproduce by opening each pair below and comparing the results for App ID 6793889737. The storefront stays the same; only the literal quotes change. US: https://apps.apple.com/us/mac/search?term=pinland https://apps.apple.com/us/mac/search?term=%22pinland%22 Australia: https://apps.apple.com/au/mac/search?term=pinland https://apps.apple.com/au/mac/search?term=%22pinland%22 UK: https://apps.apple.com/gb/mac/search?term=pinland https://apps.apple.com/gb/mac/search?term=%22pinland%22 Product page: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pinland/id6793889737 Supplemental evidence from the earlier checks on October 14: Apple's public iTunes Search API with entity=macSoftware returned Pinland first in all three storefronts, while the consumer search behaved differently. In the native Mac App Store tested then, Pinland showed no Mac result while Pinland! returned it. I understand that the public API and consumer search are different surfaces; this evidence is included to help isolate the issue. Previous Developer Support cases: 102995455467 (Chinese) and 102995458323 (English). I have not yet received a substantive technical response or resolution. Urgent follow-up case: 102996497874. Please associate these cases for investigation. Could an Apple staff member help route this to the App Store search engineering team? Please compare the ordinary and quoted queries and investigate brand-term correction/query rewriting or storefront-specific result filtering. These are hypotheses to investigate, not confirmed internal causes. Has another developer encountered this exact ordinary-versus-quoted query difference and obtained a fix? I would appreciate actionable guidance on how to get it investigated. The request concerns a reproducible brand-query difference affecting a live Mac app and an active campaign.

Best way to position two complementary developer tools across macOS and visionOS?
I’m looking for advice on App Store positioning for a slightly unusual developer-tool workflow. I have: Reality Prep Pro — macOS Prepares, validates and optimizes spatial assets. Reality Prep Preview — visionOS Verifies the resulting USDZ on Vision Pro and returns device evidence to the Mac workflow. The value is primarily in using them together: prepare on Mac → verify on Vision Pro → return evidence → detect when the asset changes and needs re-testing. Both apps can stand alone, but they were designed as complementary tools. For anyone who has marketed companion apps across Apple platforms: would you position the App Store pages primarily around each individual app, or make the cross-platform workflow the central story? I’m especially interested in approaches that remain clear to users without making either product page dependent on the other app.

Publishing Multiple Apps Impersonating Major Services – Guideline 4.1
I would like to report a serious and repeated pattern of potentially misleading and impersonating applications published on the Mac App Store under the seller/developer name Mihai Graure. This is not a complaint about one isolated app. The same developer has published multiple applications using the names, branding, interfaces, and visual presentation of major services including LinkedIn, Zoom, Google Drive, Twitch, X/Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Gmail. Reported applications: Desktop App for LinkedIn https://apps.apple.com/us/app/desktop-app-for-linkedin/id6786838795?mt=12 Desktop App for Zoom https://apps.apple.com/us/app/desktop-app-for-zoom/id6796387421?mt=12 App for Google Drive & Docs https://apps.apple.com/us/app/app-for-google-drive-docs/id6792317542?mt=12 App for Twitch https://apps.apple.com/us/app/app-for-twitch/id6797809667?mt=12 Desktop App for X (Twitter) https://apps.apple.com/us/app/desktop-app-for-x-twitter/id6786838258?mt=12 App for TikTok https://apps.apple.com/us/app/app-for-tiktok/id6783051609?mt=12 App for Facebook https://apps.apple.com/us/app/app-for-facebook-%C2%BA/id6770487788?mt=12 Apps for Instagram https://apps.apple.com/us/app/apps-for-instagram/id6778116535?mt=12 Desktop App for Gmail https://apps.apple.com/us/app/desktop-app-for-gmail/id6770216468?mt=12 My main concern is the overall presentation of these apps to customers. The developer uses the names of globally recognized services directly in the app titles. A user searching for Gmail, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Zoom, TikTok, Twitch, Google Drive, or X could reasonably believe these are official desktop apps or apps authorized by the companies that operate those services. The concern is not limited to the names. The apps also appear to reproduce or closely imitate the official user interfaces, layouts, navigation, branding style, and visual presentation of the services they reference. The App Store screenshots appear identical or extremely similar to the official interfaces users already recognize. This combination can create a very strong impression of legitimacy: the official product name is used in the title, the screenshots closely resemble the real service, the UI looks like the official product, and the app is presented as a dedicated “Desktop App” or “App for” that service. I specifically request that Apple compare the screenshots and the actual installed apps side-by-side with the official websites and applications of the corresponding companies. Apple should verify whether the developer has authorization to use these product names, trademarks, branding, interface elements, screenshots, layouts, graphics, and other protected material. Some listings may contain a non-affiliation statement, but this appears only at the end of the description, after the customer has already seen the app name, icon, screenshots, branding, and official-looking UI. In my view, a statement buried at the end of the description does not remove the misleading impression created by the rest of the listing. Many customers make download decisions from search results, titles, icons, screenshots, and the first part of a description. Apple should therefore review the complete presentation rather than treating an end-of-description disclaimer as sufficient where the rest of the listing may strongly imply official affiliation. This also appears to be a systematic developer-account-level pattern. The same seller has published at least nine apps targeting unrelated major brands operated by different companies, including Microsoft/LinkedIn, Zoom, Google, Amazon/Twitch, X Corp., ByteDance/TikTok, and Meta. The repeated strategy appears very similar across the portfolio: use the established service name, present the product as a dedicated desktop app, and reproduce or closely resemble the official interface and visual identity. Because the same pattern is repeated across many unrelated brands, I ask Apple to investigate the entire developer account rather than reviewing each listing in isolation. I believe these apps warrant investigation under App Review Guideline 4.1 — Copycats, as well as any applicable rules concerning intellectual property, misleading metadata, impersonation, trademark use, spam, and developer conduct. Please investigate whether: the apps impersonate or closely imitate established services; another company’s brand or product name is being used without authorization; the UI substantially reproduces the official product experience; App Store screenshots reproduce or closely imitate official interfaces; users could reasonably mistake these apps for official or authorized products; the developer has permission from each affected company; protected trademarks, graphics, layouts, screenshots, or visual assets are being used without authorization; this represents repeated copycat or misleading behavior across one developer account; the overall presentation is designed to benefit from confusion with established brands. I respectfully request that Apple App Review, Trust & Safety, and the appropriate Developer Program enforcement team conduct a full investigation of this developer account and all associated apps. Please review the actual installed applications, not only the written descriptions. The UI, screenshots, naming, branding, and full customer experience are important when determining whether these apps are misleading or impersonating legitimate services. Apple should also require the developer to demonstrate valid authorization from the companies whose names, products, and visual identities are being used. If Apple determines that these apps involve unauthorized brand use, repeated impersonation, copycat behavior, misleading presentation, intellectual-property misuse, or other Developer Program violations, I request removal of the affected applications and appropriate account-level enforcement, including termination of the Apple Developer Program account if warranted. This appears to be a repeated pattern involving multiple major brands, not an isolated naming mistake. I therefore ask Apple to investigate the complete developer portfolio and take appropriate action to protect Mac App Store users and preserve trust in App Store search results and developer identity.

pp completely missing from App Store search (name search) — direct link works fine, started abruptly
App: Lisz Bundle ID: com.louisoberlander.lisz Since August 30, 2026, my app doesn't show up at all in App Store search — not even searching for the exact app name. Direct link works perfectly, and App Store Connect shows the app as "Ready for Distribution" with no flags (no pending contract, no tax/banking issues). This isn't a ranking problem - the app is completely absent from results, so it looks like a backend search-indexing issue rather than a discoverability/placement one. Only recent change on my end was [the app's rename/bundle ID migration to com.xxxxxxxxxxx.lisz / the 1.0 approval earlier this month] - wondering if that's what triggered a re-index that's now stuck. It was visible up until yesterday via search but not anymore as of today, so it cannot be a bundle ID migration issue from a while ago. Has anyone else hit this after a rename or bundle ID change? Did it resolve on its own, or did you have to escalate through Support to get it fixed?

Can't upload macOS app: legacy App ID prefix differs from Team ID (errors 91130, 90286)
I need Apple to update a legacy App ID prefix to match my Team ID, and my support case has gone unanswered. Posting here in hopes a code-signing engineer can advise or nudge it along. My app VHDLRef (bundle ID com.squishLogic.VHDLRef, Apple ID 418473744) dates back to my original individual developer account. The App ID's prefix is still the legacy value CN7ZHAEHF4, while my current team (squishLogic LLC) has Team ID R55F2X4J69. Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles confirms the prefix mismatch. The iOS app builds, uploads, and was just approved (v3.2), since iOS accepts an App ID prefix that differs from the Team ID. The macOS build of the same target is rejected at upload by App Store Connect: Error 91130: "Invalid Provisioning Profile ... Invalid 'com.apple.application-identifier' entitlement value." Error 90286: "the 'CN7ZHAEHF4.com.squishLogic.VHDLRef' value for the com.apple.application-identifier key ... isn't supported. This value should be a string that starts with your Team ID, followed by a dot, followed by the bundle ID." My understanding is that the Mac App Store requires application-identifier to be TeamID.bundleID, there is no self-service way to change an App ID prefix, and the fix is for Apple to update the prefix to R55F2X4J69. The app has no keychain items or keychain sharing (entitlements are empty), so no user data depends on the old prefix. Questions: (1) Is a prefix update the correct and available fix here? (2) Is there any developer-side workaround short of shipping the Mac app under a new bundle ID and losing universal purchase? (3) Any way to escalate the support case, given phone support is currently unavailable? Case number: 20000152117550

Added iOS app to existing macOS app as Universal Purchase, but iOS App Store wants me to pay again — originally used promo code
Has anyone run into this with Universal Purchase when adding an iOS version to an existing macOS app? I have a paid macOS app that has been on the App Store for a while. I recently added an iOS version using Add Platform on the existing app in App Store Connect. The iOS version was approved and went live this morning. Everything appears to be set up as a Universal Purchase. Both versions are on the same App Store Connect submission page, they share the same App ID, and using Get Link in App Store Connect gives me the same App Store URL for both versions. Here’s the odd part. I previously downloaded the macOS version using one of my own App Store promo codes. That redemption is still in my Apple purchase history and shows as a $0.00 purchase. I’m using the same Apple Account on my iPhone, but when I view the app in the iOS App Store it shows the $4.99 purchase button instead of letting me download it as an existing owner. Apple’s documentation says an app downloaded using a promo code functions as if it were purchased, so I would have expected that purchase to carry over when the iOS version became part of the Universal Purchase. Has anyone specifically dealt with this situation? Do old promo-code redemptions not qualify for a platform that gets added later, or is there sometimes a delay before the Universal Purchase entitlement carries over to the newly added platform? I’d especially like to hear from anyone who has added iOS to an existing paid macOS app and had existing customers carry over to the new version. Thanks in advance!!

Urgent escalation — App ID 6705133649, 71 days and 12–45 days per response
Dear App Review Team, I am writing to escalate our app review, which has now been unresolved for 71 days. App ID: 6705133649 Original submission: 1 June 2026 Current date: 11 August 2026 The specific concern is not only the total duration, but the response time on each individual round. Every time we address a raised issue and resubmit, we wait an extended period for any reply at all: • One resubmission took 12 days to receive a response • Another took 45 days Each reply, when it finally arrived, raised a single new issue rather than a complete list — so we resolve it, resubmit, and the wait begins again. Every one of our previous submissions to this same app was reviewed within 24 to 48 hours. We would genuinely like to understand what has changed. A shift from 48 hours to 45 days on the same app, same account, and same category of build is not something we can explain from our side, and no communication we have received has explained it either. We are requesting: Escalation to a senior member of the App Review team An explanation for why review times on this app have moved from 24–48 hours to 12–45 days per round A consolidated list of every outstanding concern, so we can address all of them in a single resubmission rather than one per cycle Confirmation of whether any account-level hold or flag applies to us An estimated timeline for resolution We have complied fully and promptly with every request made so far and will continue to do so. We can provide demo credentials, a screen recording of the complete user flow, or a call with our engineering team at any time convenient to you. This delay is materially affecting our users and our business, and we would be grateful for your urgent attention. Thank you,

App Review Pending Since July 3 – Request for Assistance
Hello Apple Developer Support, My app has been in the "Waiting for Review" status since July 3, and I am concerned because the update has not yet been reviewed. App Name: Trading Insights - AI Charts This update is important, and I would like to make it available to my users as soon as possible. So far, I have: Submitted an Expedited App Review request. Contacted Apple Developer Support regarding the delay. Unfortunately, the app is still waiting for review, and I have not received any indication of whether there is an issue with my submission. Could you please check if there is any problem with my app or my submission that is preventing the review from starting? If there is anything I need to fix or provide, I would be happy to do so immediately. I would greatly appreciate any assistance or guidance. Thank you for your time and support. Kind regards, Jawad

macOS builds stuck in "Processing" since March 5
Hi everyone, We are facing a critical blocker with our macOS app processing. Since March 5, 2026, every single build we have uploaded (8 builds total) has been stuck in the "Processing" state for over 4 days. For our project, due to the large binary size, processing usually takes about 4 to 6 hours normally. However, we now have a long queue of builds that haven't transitioned to "Ready to Submit" for up to 80+ hours. Stuck Builds List: 1.0.0 (444): Mar 8, 3:09 PM (Processing) 1.0.0 (443): Mar 8, 5:36 AM (Processing) 1.0.0 (440): Mar 7, 6:37 AM (Processing) 1.0.0 (438): Mar 6, 5:01 PM (Processing) 1.0.0 (434): Mar 6, 12:04 AM (Processing) 1.0.0 (433): Mar 5, 6:26 PM (Processing) 1.0.0 (432): Mar 5, 10:51 AM (Processing) 1.0.0 (431): Mar 5, 6:11 AM (Processing) (Note: The last successful build was 1.0.0 (429) on March 4, which processed within the expected 6-hour window.) There have been no changes to our project settings, Info.plist, or entitlements since the last successful build. This is completely halting our scheduled update release. Is anyone else experiencing a similar backlog with large macOS binaries? Or is there a known issue with the App Store Connect pipeline for the macOS platform recently? Any help or investigation from Apple engineers would be greatly appreciated. (Feedback ID: FB22156358)

[NetworkExtension] [EndpointSecurity] [AppStore] [macOS] Can an app that uses a MitM-style network traffic interception be submitted to the AppStore?
Hello, What are the restrictions on submitting apps to the mac App Store that use an NETransparentProxy alongside a locally installed and trusted Root-CA to intercept, decrypt and manipulate TLS traffic? To be more specific, I'm not talking about a Safari extension. I'm talking about system-wide traffic. So that the app can detect and block ads and trackers from all apps, not just Safari. I'm aware that such an app can be distributed using an unsandboxed Developer-ID signed app. But I wonder if such an app also breaks Sandbox requirements for AppStore distributed apps? Also, is there a way for a sandboxed app to install and trust a root CA? SecTrustSettingsSetTrustSettings does not work in Sandboxed apps from what I found. Finally, I want to ask about EndpointSecurity. Can this entitlement be used in AppStore-ditributed apps? Is doing any of these things possible on AppStore-distributed apps? Thanks in advance for your reply.

My Authenticator App is in 'Wating for Review' state since March 23, 2026
Hello Apple, I am looking for guidance regarding an app that has been waiting for review for an unusually long time. Fullscreen Detection
Hi, I want to detect if there is a fullscreen window on each screen. _AXUIElementGetWindow and kAXFullscreenAttribute methods work, but I have to be in a non-sandbox environment to use them. Is there any other way that also works? I don't think it's enough to judge if it's fullscreen by comparing the window size to the screen size, since it doesn't work on MacBook with notch, or the menu bar is set to 'auto-hide'. Thanks.

Concern Regarding App Stuck in "Waiting for Review" 40 Days
Hello, I honestly don’t understand what’s going on with my app review. My app was already approved before, and I submitted a new build on April 7th with some new features and important bug fixes. Since then, it has been stuck on “Waiting for Review” with absolutely no update. It’s been 40 days now, which is honestly unacceptable. I even submitted an expedited review request, but that didn’t help either. The worst part is that this build contains bug fixes for users, and the delay is directly affecting the app experience. Waiting this long without any response or progress is really frustrating. Can someone from Apple please look into this and help resolve it ASAP? Thank you.

Which certificate for MAS submission? "Apple Distribution" vs "Mac App Distribution"

Mac Store search defaults to IOS Apps devastating Mac Catalyst sales.
Mac Store search results now default to IOS Apps, devastating Mac Catalyst sales. To compound this issue, there is no way for Mac Catalyst developers to remove their Mac Catalyst version so that their IOS app (for iPad) will appear. They are invisible. I've contacted Apple but no reply yet. Any thoughts?

macOS builds stuck in "Processing" since March 5

It's the first build and the app details are : App ID: 6771651289 App Title: Authenticator App Status: Waiting for Review Submission Date: March 23, 2026 Submission Type: First App Store Submission My app has remained in the "Waiting for Review" state since March 23, 2026, and I have not yet received any feedback, requests for additional information, or review outcome. I understand that review times can vary depending on workload and review requirements. However, the extended waiting for review period is causing a significant delay to my planned launch, and I would be grateful if the App Review Team could provide an update on the status of the review or advise whether any additional information is needed from my side. Thank you for your time and assistance. I appreciate the work of the App Review Team and look forward to your response. Kind regards, Sufyan

Thank you.
