Individual enrollment rejected – only driver's license offered as ID document for a German account
I have been unable to complete Individual enrollment in the Apple Developer Program for several months. Every attempt ends with "ID verification rejected" and a message telling me to contact Support. Support has reset my enrollment once; the next attempt failed in exactly the same way. A manual review by a specialist team was promised on the phone but, as far as I can tell, never happened. I have narrowed the problem down and would like to share the findings, because I believe they point to something on Apple's side rather than a user error. What I observe: During identity verification, the Apple Developer app offers me the driver's license as the only accepted document. National ID card and passport are not selectable. For Germany, those two are the standard identity documents. The behaviour is identical on iPhone, iPad and Mac – across two platforms and in two different display languages. So it is not device- or language-specific. My Apple Account is set to Germany throughout: country/region, language, shipping and billing address, and the trusted phone number. I have no phone number from another country and no second Apple Account. The German driver's license does not contain a residential address. Any verification step that relies on an address match cannot succeed with this document. Face verification never happens. The rejection occurs immediately after the document is submitted, before that step is reached. One possibly relevant detail: my surname was originally stored in my Apple Account in its transliterated form ("Xxxuexxx") and I later changed it to the spelling that matches my passport and national ID ("Xxxxüxxx"). The enrollment problems began around that time. I have asked Support to check whether a duplicate person record exists, but have not received an answer to that question. Notably, Apple Support initially told me the cause was that my trusted device was already linked to another Apple Account enrolled in a developer program. I could not find any such account, and Support never clarified which account was meant. If a duplicate person record was created by the spelling change, that message would make sense — the "other account" would in fact be my own earlier record. What I have already tried: Verified trusted devices and phone numbers – only my own, currently used devices and my own number are listed. Confirmed that nobody else in my household has a developer account. Tried enrollment from different devices. Removed a secondary display language, reinstalled the app – no change to the document selection. Phone callback and multiple email exchanges with Developer Support. My questions: Which country is stored in my enrollment record? The restricted document selection suggests it differs from the country set on my Apple Account. Why are national ID card and passport not offered, and can the document selection for my record be corrected? Is there a way to get this reviewed by the enrollment or identity verification team? Could a duplicate person record under the transliterated spelling be causing both the "other account" message and the restricted document list? Case number: 20000132833454 Region: Germany I am willing to provide any identity document required – as soon as the system actually offers it. Any pointers from people who have seen the same restricted document list would be very welcome.

Issues with StoreKit
I am a long time developer but have never incorporated an IAP into any of my work so this is very new to me. So to save time I have used some AI for coding, but the code is having an issue and I'm not sure whether it is in the code or in Xcode. Xcode 27 on macOS 27.0.1 for iOS 27.0.1. IAP is to unlock full access after a 14-day trial. DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM In local Xcode StoreKit testing, Product.purchase() returns .pending (as expected, since "Ask to Buy" is enabled), and Xcode’s transaction manager continues to show “Pending Approval.” After closing and reopening the app’s purchase sheet, the same transaction appears as verified and non-revoked in Transaction.currentEntitlements and is delivered through Transaction.updates, giving full access to the app. This reproduces in a standalone UIKit test app (linked below). The source file in question is AppAccessManager.swift. The relevant functions are: AppAccessManager.purchaseProduct() Calls product.purchase(). Handles .pending by recording a request reminder and displaying feedback. AppAccessWindowViewController.viewDidLoad() Runs when the purchase-options sheet is opened. Calls manager.start() followed by manager.refreshAccessState(). This is the sheet-opening path associated with the unexpected transaction delivery. AppAccessManager.refreshAccessState() Iterates Transaction.currentEntitlements. A transaction still labeled “Pending Approval” in Xcode is returned here as verified and nonrevoked. AppAccessManager.startListeningForTransactionUpdates() and handleTransactionUpdate(_:) The same pending transaction is also delivered through this sequence as verified and nonrevoked. The handler applies access before calling transaction.finish(). AppAccessManager.applyVerifiedPurchase(_:) Applies verified transactions received from successful purchases or the listener. STEPS TO REPRODUCE https://avliscoding.com/storekittest.zip Launch app Select "Open Purchase Sheet" Start trial Quit app, enable "Ask to Buy" in StoreKit file configuration settings Restart app. Select Purchase (will give a pending message in response) Close sheet Reopen sheet The app now believes it has made that purchase even though the purchase is still "Pending" in Xcode.

iOS 27 Simulator: “Describe a Shortcut” stuck on “Preparing support”
I'm trying to test the new “Describe a Shortcut” feature in iOS 27 using an iPhone 17 Simulator. When I open Shortcuts and tap “Describe a Shortcut”, it stays on: “Preparing support for describe a shortcut” and the text field remains disabled. I cannot enter anything or create the shortcut. My setup: Mac: MacBook Pro macOS: 27 Xcode: 26.5 (17F42) Simulator: iPhone 17 iOS: 27 I also have a physical iPhone 14 Pro, but I understand that it doesn't support Apple Intelligence, so I'm trying to test this using the iPhone 17 Simulator. Do I need to enable/download anything for Apple Intelligence on the Mac or Simulator? Or is “Describe a Shortcut” currently unsupported/not working in the iOS 27 Simulator? Any guidance on the correct setup would be appreciated.

No response on organization enrollment request
Hi, I’m trying to complete an organization enrollment for my LLC, but it’s been stuck since October 2, when I uploaded the requested documents. I haven't got any response till now. I also emailed Apple Developer Support but haven’t heard back yet. Enrollment ID: 5GB544D8MJ. It’s been almost a month and it’s getting frustrating. The app is ready, and this is the only thing holding up our iOS launch. Am I missing something on my end? Has anyone else run into this recently? Any guidance would really help. Apple Developer Support, could you please take a look?

Apple watch Xcode pairing & connection issues
I’m blocked debugging a watchOS app on a physical Apple Watch. The iPhone connects to Xcode normally (wired), but the Watch either fails to connect with a tunnel timeout or disappears entirely from Xcode after I unpaired it inside Devices & Simulators. Environment Mac: macOS 26.x (Apple Silicon Mac) Xcode: 26.2 iPhone: iOS 26.1 Apple Watch Ultra: watchOS 26.2 (build 23S303) Connection: iPhone connected to Mac via USB (trusted). Watch paired to iPhone and working normally in the Watch app. Issue A (when Watch is visible in Xcode) In Xcode → Window → Devices and Simulators, the Watch shows up but is not usable and fails to connect. Error: “Previous preparation error: A connection to this device could not be established.” “Timed out while attempting to establish tunnel using negotiated network parameters.” In some attempts the Watch shows “Capacity: Unknown” / limited details, and then fails during preparation. Issue B (after unpairing Watch in Xcode only) I unpaired/removed the Watch in Xcode (Devices & Simulators). I did not unpair the Watch from the iPhone. Now: iPhone appears in Xcode and works normally for builds. Watch is still paired to the iPhone and works normally. Watch no longer appears anywhere in Xcode Devices & Simulators (no paired watch section, no watch run destination). What I’ve tried Reboots of Mac, iPhone, Watch (multiple times) Watch unlocked, awake; iPhone unlocked and close to Watch Verified Watch is paired and connected in iPhone Watch app Developer Mode enabled on iPhone and Watch Wi-Fi and Bluetooth ON (Mac/iPhone/Watch), tried toggling both Tried on home Wi-Fi and also with iPhone hotspot (same result) Resetting trust prompts / reconnecting iPhone via USB, re-trusting Mac Apple Watch: “Clear Trusted Computers” Xcode: removing/re-adding devices; clearing derived data; restarting Xcode Watch Developer networking test: Responsiveness = Medium (430 RPM) Questions 1. Is this a known issue/regression with Xcode 26.2 + watchOS 26.2 tunneling (CoreDevice / devicectl)? 2. Is there an Apple-supported way to force Xcode to re-discover a paired Watch after it was removed from Xcode Devices & Simulators (without unpairing the Watch from the iPhone)? 3. Any recommended logs or diagnostic steps I should collect (Console logs, sysdiagnose, specific Xcode/CoreDevice logs) to include in a Feedback report? If helpful, I can provide the full error text from Xcode’s Devices window and any logs you recommend. Thank you in advance,

Device Hub window shows different colors than the device, but screenshots are correct
The live Device Hub window shows my app's colors differently from a physical iPhone. The pixel values themselves are correct: a screenshot taken in Device Hub has the same colors as the device. Only the live window looks different — [e.g. more washed out / more saturated]. It happens in every project I've tried, including ones that use only plain sRGB colors and sRGB image assets, so it doesn't look app-specific. Setup Xcode 27.0 (27A266a) MacBook Pro, Apple M4 Max Built-in Liquid Retina XDR display (default "Color LCD" profile) and an external BenQ PD2705UA Simulated devices: iPhone 13 mini (iOS 26.1) and iPhone 14 (iOS 26.5) What I've ruled out Same result on both the built-in display and the external monitor True Tone and Night Shift are off on the Mac The simulated device is in light mode, with Increase Contrast, Invert Colors and Grayscale off The Device Hub screenshot matches the physical iPhone, so the rendered pixels are correct Questions Is the Device Hub window color-managed for the Mac's display, or is this expected behavior? Is there a setting to make the live window show accurate colors?

Individual enrollment fails with "could not be completed" on two Apple Accounts (UAE)
Hello, I'm trying to enroll in the Apple Developer Program as an Individual from the United Arab Emirates, and the enrollment keeps failing. I'd be grateful if anyone who had the same issue could share what fixed it. What happens: On the web (developer.apple.com/programs/enroll), the enrollment stops with "Your enrollment could not be completed." In the Apple Developer app, my first account shows: "Enrollment through the Apple Developer app is not available for this Apple Account." I created a second, brand-new Apple Account to test. It accepted the free Apple Developer Agreement, but the paid enrollment fails with the same message. What I have already checked: Legal name matches my passport exactly (including accents) Country/region set to United Arab Emirates on both accounts, and I live in the UAE Payment card in my own name Two-factor authentication on, trusted phone number verified No other pending or previous enrollment Tried Safari and Chrome, and the Apple Developer app Since a new account gets the same error, it looks linked to my identity, card or country rather than to one account. I have an open case with Developer Support and have asked for a call back. Questions: Has anyone in the UAE (or elsewhere) solved this as an Individual? What did Apple ask for? Did using a different card, or the Apple Developer app on a different device, make a difference? Is enrolling as an Organization (with a UAE free-zone company and a D-U-N-S number) a known workaround? Thank you for any help!

iOS Simulator - Photos app crashes when attempting to drag image in Split View mode
The Photos app in the iOS simulator instantly crashes when attempting to drag an image to another app in Split View mode. I’m using Xcode 15.4 (15F31d), which is the current App Store build and the iOS 17.5 runtime, running on an Intel MBP. N.B.: This is drag-dropping between apps in the simulator, rather than from macOS into the simulator. Is this a known issue?

Individual enrollment blocked after ID scan misread my surname – Case ID 10301112855
Hello, I am trying to enroll in the Apple Developer Program as an individual from Türkiye, and my enrollment is now blocked. On October 28, I scanned my Turkish national ID in the Apple Developer app. The camera could not focus up close, so the image was blurry and my surname was read incorrectly. The app let me continue, then locked the enrollment. On October 30, a support advisor re-enabled enrollment on the website, but it stopped again automatically at the identity step. Now the website shows "Your enrollment could not be completed at this time" and "Enroll Now" is disabled in the app. Case ID: 103011128551 I believe this was caused only by the blurry scan. Could Developer Support please escalate my case to the enrollment / identity verification team and reset the verification, or allow a manual review through a secure channel? Thank you.

Enrollment blocked: name misread from driver's license in Apple Developer app (Case 103011235078)
Hello, I am enrolling in the Apple Developer Program as an individual using the Apple Developer app. During identity verification I scanned my German driver's license. The app went straight to the "Information Submitted" screen without letting me review the data, and my last name was read incorrectly. The name fields are greyed out, so I can't fix this myself. I have not completed payment yet. I contacted Apple Developer Program Support on October 28, 2026 and received an automatic confirmation with case number 103011235078, but I haven't received a personal reply yet. Could someone from Apple please reset my identity verification so I can scan my license again, or verify my identity through an alternative method? Thank you!

Xcode 27 - Device Hub - backboardd crashes when displaying multiple apps under iPadOS 27
I'm getting persistent backboardd crashes in the iPadOS 27 simulator when my app and another app (Safari, Photos or Calendar, etc.) has windows visible on the screen at the same time, including slide over, etc. Steps to reproduce: Launch my app in an iPadOS 27 simulator. Open Safari or Photos in another window. Arrange both app windows so they're visible. Within a second backboardd crashes with EXC_CRASH (SIGABRT) in a com.apple.coreanimation.display.primary thread. The simulator log reports… -[MTLTextureDescriptorInternal validateWithDevice:]: error 'Texture Descriptor Validation MTLTextureDescriptor has invalid pixelFormat (0).' Xcode subsequently reports connection-interrupted messages and ends the app's debug session with: “Debug session ended with code 9: Terminated due to signal 9.” This works correctly in iPadOS 26.x simulators and on a physical device running iPadOS 27. I can reproduce this with both Xcode 27 and 27.1. Resetting the simulator and testing different simulated iPad models does not resolve it. Is anyone else seeing anything like this? It's presumably something I'm doing wrong, so I've double checked my UIScene handling and all seems well (it's been in there for a while) so I'm somewhat at a loss as to where to look next. This is on a Mac Mini M4 Pro running macOS 27.0.1 (26A434).

Saudi Arabia: verified in 4 seconds. Apple: your D-U-N-S request has been forwarded to 1980.
Hello, We are a registered Saudi establishment (Ofuq Altaleem Althaki Establishment). Like millions of people before us, we believed Steve Jobs when he said "it just works." We now understand that he was talking about the iPhone, not the process of becoming an Apple developer. Allow us to share our inspiring journey, which we recommend to anyone who has too much free time and too little stress in their life: Day 1 (Oct 24): The Leap of Faith We requested a D-U-N-S number through Apple's own official form. We clicked "Submit" with the innocent optimism of someone who has never dealt with Apple's account process before. We received nothing. No confirmation. No email. No status page. Not even a "we got it, now go away." The request didn't fail. It achieved enlightenment and left this world. Day 6 (Oct 29): The Search Party We opened two Apple Developer Support cases (103012983445 and 103012984322). Apple responded instantly, with two automated replies of remarkable literary quality. Then it went silent. Not "busy" silent. Monastery silent. We have since heard more from our microwave. Day 7 (Oct 30): The Detective Work Since nobody else was looking, we searched D&B's database ourselves. The result? Our request never reached D&B. Apple's form, it turns out, is less of a form and more of a very elegant black hole with rounded corners. So we did Apple's job for free and filed directly with D&B (Case #34977456). D&B replied, with admirable confidence, that it will take "7–14 business days." Two weeks. To type nine digits. We assume each digit is hand-carved in stone, then delivered by a camel. Meanwhile, back home: In Saudi Arabia, anyone can verify our establishment in about 4 seconds: name, owner, address, status, everything. Don't take our word for it. Try it yourself, and feel free to time it: Ministry of Commerce, commercial registration lookup: https://mc.gov.sa/ar/eservices/Pages/Commercial-data.aspx Saudi Business Center, official e-store authentication certificate: https://eauthenticate.saudibusiness.gov.sa/certificate-details/0000336735 Apple, here's a business idea: sell these two links to D&B. At the speed they work, they'll think it's revolutionary technology from the future. You could even call it "D&B Pro." They'd pay anything to skip 14 days of carving digits into stone. Our government went digital. Our banks went digital. Our coffee orders went digital. Apple, the company that put a computer in everyone's pocket, apparently still needs a carrier pigeon, a fax machine and a prayer to confirm we exist. Let that sink in: the world's most valuable tech company outsources verification to a company that needs 14 business days to confirm something any official government portal shows in 4 seconds. That's not a verification process. That's a waiting room with a logo. Our questions for Apple staff, or for any developer who survived this rite of passage: Is there a secret status page for D-U-N-S requests submitted through Apple's form, or do they go to the same place as AirPods that fall on the subway tracks? Has anyone from Saudi Arabia or the Middle East actually completed this? How long did it take, and did you have to pass the request down to your grandchildren? When a request submitted through Apple's own form vanishes, does Apple escalate it with D&B, or is the official procedure to light a candle, face Cupertino and wait? Should we ask Siri? We tried. She said, "Here's what I found on the web." We remain big fans of Apple products. They just work. Becoming an Apple developer, apparently, does not. Thank you in advance. We'll be here. Waiting. As usual.

Individual to Organization Account Conversion – Waiting for Support Response
Hello Apple Developer Community, I’m currently trying to convert my Apple Developer Program membership from Individual to Organization. I have already submitted the required information and contacted Apple Developer Support regarding the conversion. My support case ID is: 102986110424 I received an automated confirmation that my support request was received, but I have not yet received a response or an update regarding the conversion. I would like to ask: How long does the Individual → Organization conversion normally take? Has anyone recently completed this conversion? Is there anything else I should provide to Apple to help complete the process? Is it better to continue waiting for the existing support case, or should I submit another request? I would appreciate any recent experience or advice from developers who have gone through the same process. Thank you.

Organization enrollment locked — "exceeded the maximum number of attempts" — case open with no reply
I'm trying to enroll a second organization in the Apple Developer Program. My Apple ID already has access to existing organization teams, and I need a separate team for a new company I co-own. The enrollment form is locked with "Contact us to continue your enrollment. You've exceeded the maximum number of attempts." I opened case 103009170481 on October 26 and have had no response. The entity is a Michigan LLC with a D-U-N-S number registered to it, a live website, and I have authority to bind it. Nothing is missing on my end — I just need the attempt limit reset so I can submit the form. Has anyone had this reset, and is there a faster route than the contact form?
