Comment on Private UIKit code causes a crash when the app moves to the background on iOS 26
I appreciate your input here, but I want to clarify my issue is only happening on iOS 26 devices during background execution. This is an issue specific to 26. I am not sure your level of familiarity with iOS development, but you cannot present or any UIKit component while an application is given background execution time. It wouldn't make sense to either since the app is offscreen. As you can tell from the stack trace I provided, there is no client code associated with the report.

Let me reiterate that since this crash occurs in a private Apple Framework, it's quite difficult for me to repro it without internal tooling or UIKit source. Further, our logs indicate that users are crashing when the app moves to the background and are inside of a background task. When this is happening, the keyboard, nor any UICollectionView for that matter, should ever be on screen. That to my knowledge is impossible during a background task.

Comment on Private UIKit code causes a crash when the app moves to the background on iOS 26
Hi Albert, Thanks for your reply. I will work on attempting to repro this crash in the foreground, but since this crash occurs on the main thread when my app is running in a background task, it's not very easy to replicate or distill the issue. This build was released using Xcode 26 17A324, and the crash logs indicate this crash is only happening on devices running iOS 26 23A340

Comment on AppIntents don't show up in Shortcuts app when in SPM package
Hi Ed, I'm sorry to bug you here with a follow up to FB14857658, but an engineer (I'm not sure if it was you) responded to it with a sample project, similar to the one I provided in FB14507102. They say the current behavior works as intended and the sample project compiles and works fine. Their sample has an AppIntent that lives in a framework but is being used with AppShortcuts. Their sample however, does not in fact compile. I have tested on 2 machines with the last 3 beta versions of Xcode.

Comment on Unexpected Transparency in .fullScreenCover(isPresented:) Background in SwiftUI iOS 18 Beta
@DTS Engineer While I am not able to reproduce OP's issue, I have a similar forum post regarding background transparency issues when using zoom transitions with fullScreenCover in the latest Xcode beta. For that I do have reproducible sample code. https://forums.developer.apple.com/forums/thread/762825 FB14929113 Would you mind taking a look and seeing if this could be related at all? I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Comment on AppIntents don't show up in Shortcuts app when in SPM package
Hi Ed, Thanks for this information. I have found that attempting to do this and use AppIntents that live in a static framework also does not work with AppShortcuts. I have it exactly as you described and that gives rise to another error: AppIntentsSSUTraining failed. The action ExportableAppIntent referenced in App Shortcut does not exist. I have a feedback with a sample project to illustrate: FB14507102. If you would be willing to take a look I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
