iOS App Stuck in "Waiting for Review" Since October 22 – Wakeletics 1.0.0
Hello Apple App Review Team and fellow developers, I'm an independent developer preparing to launch my first iOS application, Workout Alarm: Wakeletics, and I'm experiencing an unusually long wait for App Review. App Details: App Name: Workout Alarm: Wakeletics Apple App ID: 6812064201 Platform: iOS Version: 1.0.0 Submitted: October 22, 2026, at approximately 5:00 PM CDT Current Status: Waiting for Review As of October 28, my app has been waiting for almost six days without moving to "In Review". I have not received any feedback or requests for additional information in App Store Connect. I've verified that the App Review Information is complete, including detailed testing instructions, contact information, explanations of the app's functionality, and an attached demonstration video. I also contacted Apple Developer Support on October 27 to check whether anything might be blocking the review, but I have not received a response yet. I understand that first-time submissions may require additional verification. However, given Apple's published review-time estimates and the similar delays reported by other developers this month, I wanted to ask: Is there currently a broader backlog affecting first-time iOS app submissions? Could someone from the App Review team confirm whether my submission is correctly queued? Is there anything else I should check or provide without withdrawing and resubmitting the app? I would greatly appreciate any guidance or clarification. Thank you for your time and assistance. Best regards, Sam Developer of Wakeletics

W-8BEN permanent residence locked to enrollment country — Finance Support unresponsive for 3+ weeks
Hi everyone, I’m currently unable to complete my Paid Apps Agreement because of an issue with the W-8BEN form in App Store Connect. I am a Slovak citizen currently residing in the United Arab Emirates. When I originally enrolled in the Apple Developer Program as an individual, identity verification only allowed me to use a passport or driving licence. Both documents are Slovak-issued, and Emirates ID was not available as a verification option. Because the enrollment region had to match the country of the identity document used for verification, my Developer Program enrollment was completed with Slovakia as the region. After signing the Paid Apps Agreement and completing the U.S. Tax Questionnaire, App Store Connect generated Form W-8BEN. However, the Permanent Residence Address is automatically populated from my Slovak Apple Developer account address and cannot be edited. Only the mailing address is editable. I currently reside in the UAE and can provide supporting residence documentation such as Emirates ID, UAE Residence Permit, tenancy documentation, UAE banking/address documentation, and a UAE phone number. I have intentionally not submitted the W-8BEN because I do not want to certify residence information that may be incorrect. I opened a Finance Support case more than three weeks ago and have sent several follow-up replies in the same email thread as instructed. I also contacted Apple Developer Support separately to request escalation, but I still have not received a substantive response or clear instructions on how to proceed. This is now blocking completion of my Paid Apps Agreement and affecting our planned App Store launch. I’m mainly posting here to find out whether anyone in the developer community has dealt with a similar situation, particularly where the W-8BEN Permanent Residence Address was locked to the Apple Developer enrollment country. If you had a similar issue, how did you eventually resolve it? Did Apple Finance: provide a manual W-8BEN or secure upload link, update the tax information internally, require you to change your Developer Program or legal entity address first, or ask for additional residence or tax documentation? I’d also be very interested to know how long it took Finance Support to respond in your case and whether there was any escalation method that actually helped. If anyone has had a similar cross-country setup — for example, citizenship in one country but current residence in another — I’d really appreciate hearing how Apple handled it. Any recent real-world experience would be very helpful. Thank you!
