Reply to App Review Delay - Upcoming Competition Deadline
Your deadlines don't apply to Apple. When you resubmit, you go back to the end of the queue. Apple says most submissions are reviewed within 48 hours. Many people on this forum complain about delays lasting weeks. So obviously, the many people who are getting their apps reviewed in a few hours aren't complaining. Generally speaking, deadlines aren't compatible with the App Store. There is an option to manually release your app on your own schedule after it's approved. But you'll need to submit your app well in advance of that deadline.

Reply to First iOS app stuck “In Review” since Aug 20 after previous month-long review, App ID 6782402300, Support Case 20000148918981
My concern is primarily the duration and lack of communication, especially because the previous review cycle also remained unresolved for an unusually long period. Your timeline was very clear. You seem to have had a much faster new app review time than many people. Unfortunately, there are already way too many social networking apps. I recommend a different app idea.

Reply to Organization enrollment declined, phone support says "final decision, no appeal" — any advice for a foreign-owned single-member LLC?
I replied to your post in this thread with some comments. I'll be more forthright here. You just got scammed, that's all. Those are fake companies and everyone knows it, especially Apple. Back in the day, people would do this in Delaware because that was the only state that allowed it. It was difficult and expensive so someone needed a lot of money. Back then, people just looked the other way since so much cash was changing hands. But now we have the internet and everything is cheap. Wyoming is trying to break into the fake company market. None of this is a secret. Everyone knows these companies aren't real. Create a real company in your own country. Open a bank account. Get a DUNS number. Create an Apple Account. Enrol your company. Wait. Due to the mind-blowing amount of internet fraud and scams, you're going to have to wait at this stage. It will take weeks at least, maybe months. Once you're enrolled, setup tax and banking. Again, expect weeks or months of delays. I setup my company in 2015 and it took Apple 4 months to fill out a one page form for Canada Revenue Agency. Use this waiting time to develop and polish your app. Perform a self-review and try to look at your app from Apple's perspective. Do any of the many complaints about rejections posted here in the forums sound like something you might have to write one day? For elimination of all doubt, don't bother with dating, astrology, gambling apps. Do a search for similar apps. If you can't find an end to similar apps, don't start writing a new one. You're setting yourself up for disappointment unless you come up with something new.

Reply to Organization enrollment declined with no reason provided — 2 open support cases, no response
Starting to think this may be a structural issue with how Apple's verification handles newly formed, solo-founder, foreign-owned LLCs rather than anything specific to the documents submitted. Why would you do that? Setting up a company in your own country is difficult enough. Why would you want to do it in a foreign country? I'm a US citizen. I could setup a US-owned company in Delaware, Wyoming, or anywhere else - but I would never do that because the complications, costs, and especially taxes would be mind-bogglingly insane. I really can't imagine anyone wanting to do that. More importantly, it's well-known that scammers like to setup fake front companies in these easy-to-register locations. Originally it was always Delaware, but Wyoming has decided it wants some of that scam business too. Apple knows this. I've been to Wyoming. I wouldn't want to run a business there. For anyone thinking of doing this - don't. It's bad enough we have to e-mail the NSA. Don't involve yourself in US law and taxes if you don't need to. I can't begin to explain how insane that is.

Reply to New app in Waiting for Review for 12 days — no status change, no reply to support request
It has now been 12 days without the status changing to In Review. There are no messages in the Resolution Center and I have received no communication from the App Review team. Yes. This is normal. I would also note that the Distribution tab for this app intermittently fails to load, showing "Sorry, something went wrong. Try your request again." Also normal. App Store Connect is very slow and buggy. I have not cancelled or resubmitted the build, as I understand that would return me to the back of the queue. Correct. Is there anything further I can do to have this submission picked up for review? You've submitted a support request. You've appealed to the developer forum gods in hopes of being anointed with the nectar of quick review (or rejection?). That's all you can do. If you weren't already aware, there's a thing called "AI slop". It's taken over the world, delighted many lives, ruined many lives, and caused huge delays in App Review. It's been an ongoing problem since early this year. Woe to those just submitting version 1.0 today. You're complaining about a delay of a few days. Complaints about delays measured in weeks are common. Sometimes delays stretch for months. Rather than cancelling and resubmitting in hopes for a quicker review, I strongly encourage taking this opportunity for an objective self review of your app. Because in addition to complaints about delays, there are many complaints about rejections. Once you start getting rejected, your app is likely done for.

Reply to 1 week and waiting for review. first submission
My app Wiit (version 1.0, first public release) has been in “Waiting for Review” for 7 days without moving to “In Review.”, whereas my first app took 24 hours a few months back. Yes. That makes sense. When AI slop really ramped up, Apple had to make changes to the App Review process. I’ve seen several recent threads from other developers reporting similar delays, particularly with first submissions, so I’m wondering whether there is currently a broader App Review backlog. There's no way to tell. It seems logical that those people who aren't having any problems aren't complaining about it. For anyone currently submitting a first release: how long have you been waiting? And for those whose apps were eventually reviewed after a similar delay, how long did it take to move from “Waiting for Review” to “In Review”? Every developer, app, and submission is different. The App Review process is a qualitative process. The experience of someone trying to submit the 3,567th astrology-based dating app for teens might not be applicable to your app, unless it is. 😄

Reply to Apple Developer Program enrollment stuck – support case unresolved
This developer forum is intended for technical, code-level questions. There's no way anyone outside of Apple would know anything about the status of your enrolment. Those people inside Apple who would know something never post in this forum. You didn't say anything about how long you've been waiting. Enrolment has multiple steps and can take weeks, sometimes even months to get fully setup. Once you're committed to build an app for Apple platforms, that's when you should start the process. Then build your app while waiting. If your app is ready, then take this opportunity to very carefully review the guidelines and best practices. This is a common complaint. But an even more common complaint is about rejections. So maybe review some of the many posts here in the forum and try to look at your app from a different perspective. Then, when your account is ready, hopefully your app will be approved right away.

Reply to What's going on with App Review?
Has something changed in the last 6 months? Perhaps an uptick in submissions due to AI coding? Quite obviously. I noticed the flood of identical complaints starting right at six months ago. That does seem to correspond to the rise of AI slop. Apple has made so secret about incorporating AI into the App Review process as well. I have no idea what goes on inside Apple. But I do know that a tried and true investigative tactic is to ask the same question over and over again. App developers who are focused on their own app can easily get frustrated. But they don't see the scale of fraud that Apple is looking for. As in any investigation, sometimes innocent people get dragged in for questioning. There's no way to tell if something has really gone horribly wrong. Anyone looking at the App Store overall can see how bad the apps are, the number of dupes, and the number of scams. That's all well-publicized. People keep demanding that Apple do something. Well, maybe they are doing something. In my opinion, it would be better to have fewer, higher-quality apps in the store. But there's going to be a cost for that. I don't know if that's the actual plan, but it seems logical that these changes could bring that about.

Reply to Repeated rejections
I'm sorry about the previous response. On the whole this community is friendly and practical. There is no community here. Other than a handful of Apple Developer support engineers, who never answer App Review questions, there's only a handful of people who ever answer any questions. I've been watching the forums for some time. It's been dead as a doornail for a couple of years. Then early this year, right about when AI slop hit, the forums were swamped with these complaints about long enrolment delays, long review delays, and rejections. For many months, I've tried to just ignore the complaints and look for technical questions to answer, but the latter have almost completely vanished. I've been laid up this weekend so I thought I would try to reply to some of these posts with, what seems to me to be, obvious answers. Lo and behold! The first two pages right now are almost all technical questions! Cause and effect?

Reply to Repeated rejections
I have been surprised by the fact that Apple will reject for a question, receive an answer, then reject again with a different question, etc. I asked if this is standard for how submissions to the store work as it needlessly drags out the process and seems rather inefficient for Apple also. Your answer was not helpful and did not answer the question. Is that what you were referring to with "rinse and repeat"? I thought the primary issue was confusion between your app and some open source software it's supposed to be communicating with. To answer that question - yes. This is a well-known aspect of how App Review functions. It isn't a testing service. When they find a reason to reject, they do so then and there. App Review handles 15000 apps every day. It's more important to approve more apps that don't violate guidelines than to spend time on apps that do violate them.

Reply to Every submission stuck in review for 8+ days — recurring pattern across all my apps
Every release I have submitted so far has sat in the queue far longer than the 24-48 hour guidance, including minor updates. Apple's 24-48 hour guidance is based on the entire App Store, with 9 million submissions a year and 15,000 every day. A few submissions that take longer, or even a few thousand, probably aren't enough to affect the average. I have also filed an expedited review request with no response. Pretty much every post I see here in the forms says they do that. If everybody tries to take the express lanes, then that's where the traffic jam will be. is this simply the current queue length Among those who complain here on the forum, your 8 days are much better than average. is there something flagged on my developer account that routes my submissions into a slower lane? Obviously nobody outside of Apple would know about that. And it should be obvious that nobody inside Apple that knew would ever disclose it.
