App Store search rewrites exact app name TagRay to Tigray

Live iOS app: TagRay
Apple ID: 6799481914
Bundle: com.labeltalk.tagray
Developer: Sinclair Telecommunications LLC
Status: Ready for Sale (1.1.10)
Storefronts tested: United States, United Kingdom, France
Developer Support case: 103017110624 (Distribution — App Store Search and Discoverability, 2 Nov 2026)

This is a dictionary rewrite, not ranking and not a missing listing.

On the same iPhone, same storefront, same hour:

  1. Query TagRay (one word, exact app name)
→ App Store rewrites the query to Tigray
    → TagRay does not appear

  2. Query Tag Ray (two words, space)
→ TagRay appears at once (Apple ID 6799481914)

  3. Direct URL
    https://apps.apple.com/app/tagray/id6799481914
→ the correct product page loads

The listing name is TagRay. Subtitle is “Scan the care tag.” Keywords already contain TagRay. Tigray is a place name. TagRay is our unique app name. We are not asking shoppers to search two words.

Please treat TagRay as an exact app-name query and stop substituting Tigray on US, UK, and France storefronts.

This matches reports already on this forum:

  • Dabah rewritten to Sabah
  • Fiscie rewritten to Fysiek
  • Coriyo rewritten to correo

The app is indexed. The search box replaces the brand before results. That is the bug.

Happy to add screen recordings of the three queries to this thread or to case 103017110624.
