Apple Developer Program Enrollment Pending – Identity Verification Taking Longer Than Expected

Hello everyone,

I’m currently experiencing a delay with my Apple Developer Program enrollment and would appreciate some guidance from anyone who has experienced something similar.

I completed my enrollment and paid the membership fee. I also received my payment invoice.

For identity verification, I submitted the front side of my Nigerian plastic NIN card through the Apple Developer app. Apple sent me an email confirming that my document was received and is under review.

However, several days have passed without any update or approval.

I’ve also contacted Apple Developer Support and received a case number confirming that they would look into my complaint, but I haven’t received a further response.

My questions are:

  1. Has anyone from Nigeria successfully enrolled in the Apple Developer Program using the plastic NIN card?
  2. Is submitting only the front side of the NIN card sufficient for Apple’s identity verification?
  3. How long did your identity verification take?
  4. Can using someone else’s bank card to pay for an individual membership affect identity verification?
  5. Is there another way to escalate a pending enrollment when Apple Support hasn’t responded?

I’d appreciate any advice or experience you can share.

Thank you.

Hello,

Thank you for your post. It is important to note that account-specific matters fall outside what the forums are able to address. Developer forums are focused on software and accessory development questions. Please understand that we do not review individual account, or membership status questions for privacy reasons.

Since it appears that you have already contacted Developer Support, please allow them some additional time to review and respond to your case. Thank you for your patience.
