App Review delayed 5+ weeks by sequential Information Needed requests
My iOS app has been in the App Review process for over five weeks, despite the review already being expedited and escalated. The problem is not that App Review has identified a set of issues that I am struggling to resolve. They generally have not identified substantive problems with the app. Instead, they repeatedly request ONE ADDITIONAL PIECE of information, demo recording, or specially configured review account AT A TIME. I respond promptly and provide exactly what is requested. Then, often several days later, I receive another Information Needed response asking for something else that could seemingly have been requested during the previous review. I have provided multiple demo accounts, purchase-flow demonstrations, extensive screen recordings, testing instructions, and additional documentation. At one point App Review specifically requested comprehensive materials to conduct a complete review, which I provided, but the same sequential pattern continued afterward. This process has now delayed my launch by OVER A MONTH and cost my business THOUSANDS of dollars, despite my responding quickly to every request. Has anyone experienced this kind of prolonged, piecemeal review? Is there a way to request that App Review complete the review and provide the full set of outstanding information or concerns at once, rather than continuing with individual requests days apart?

The App Store Review Process Is Operationally Broken
Apple is a multi-trillion-dollar company, yet dealing with its developer ecosystem can feel astonishingly dysfunctional. I’ve spent weeks trying to get a straightforward app through review. I’ve opened multiple support cases, requested escalation, gone through expedited review, provided demo accounts, recordings, documentation, and answered repeated follow-up requests. The problem isn’t that Apple identified one clear issue and asked me to fix it. The problem is that the process keeps surfacing one new request at a time, days apart, with no apparent ownership of the overall case and no meaningful way to reach someone who can actually resolve it. I can’t get a clear answer. I can’t get a complete review. I can’t get someone to take responsibility for the process. Meanwhile, every additional delay costs real money and blocks an actual business from launching. Apple has extraordinary resources. There is no reason the developer experience should be this opaque, fragmented, and inefficient. At some point, “review” stops being quality control and starts becoming a bottleneck that developers have no practical way to navigate.
