Reply to App Stuck in “Waiting for Review” for Over a Week — No Update or Transparency
Hello Apple Developer Relations / App Review Team, This is the Apple developer forum. While there are a handful of Apple engineers who post, they usually only post replies for technical questions. Replies for App Review questions are almost unheard of. When they do occur, they are always just a generic post saying the issue has been resolved. My app, Pulse Circle, has been in “Waiting for Review” for over a week, and I have still not received any update. This is normal. There are many similar posts every day here in the forums. People often report delays of multiple weeks, both waiting for review and in review statuses. Apple communicates that the vast majority of apps are reviewed within 24 hours, yet in practice the experience can vary dramatically. People whose apps are reviewed and approved within 24 hours never complain about it. developers are left waiting for a week or even two weeks with no explanation. I see many recent reports of delays much longer than two weeks. We also have marketing campaigns and launch plans scheduled around the App Store release. A completely unpredictable review timeline makes it extremely difficult for developers and businesses to plan. There is an option to choose your own release date after approval.

Reply to App stuck in "Waiting for Review" for over a week — first submission never entered review (App ID: 6759439888)
Could someone confirm whether this submission is queued correctly? As far as I can see from what you have posted, the submission is queued correctly. However, when you resubmit, your app goes to the back of the queue. That is how a "queue" works. Note that approval is not guaranteed. I've seen many people report delays of weeks, both waiting for review and in review.

Reply to App stuck “In Review” after fixing automated Family Controls entitlement issue
Could an Apple engineer or App Review representative please advise whether the submission is still progressing normally, or whether there may be an issue preventing the review from proceeding? I have never seen an Apple representative post such a reply. They will answer technical questions. Sometimes App Review will post a generic note saying the issue has already been resolved. But I've never seen anything like what you're asking for.

Reply to App stuck in "Waiting for Review" for 7+ days — anyone else since the Aug 8 maintenance?
has anyone stuck since the 8 August maintenance actually been approved yet? There are many similar reports in the forums. Sometimes they do eventually get approved. If so, how long did it take, and did anything unblock it — or did it just eventually happen on its own? While there are many, virtually identical reports here in the forums, I can only remember a handful, maybe 3 or 4, that posted a followup saying they were eventually approved.

Reply to Organization membership purchase stuck: order acknowledged, card never charged
Is anyone from Apple able to route an acknowledged-but-unprocessed manual purchase order to whoever handles it? This seems plausible. Is anyone else currently in this exact state, order acknowledged but never charged? I've seen many identical reports here in the forums. it would help to know how widespread this is right now. How would that help? That's a rhetorical question, of course. It won't help at all.

Reply to Long Wait on Migration To Business Account
Is it normal to take a long time between requesting a migration from personal to business account? I've seen a number of similar posts in this forum. I don't know what the normal or average time might be for such a change. I know I would never attempt such a thing. It's better to setup all new accounts for a business. But if you've already started the procedure, then you can't back out now. It’s disappointing because my app is ready (Has been) and is somewhat seasonal.. time is running out for the prime time of year The only deadlines that matter to Apple are the deadlines that Apple imposes on developers.

Just because your logo isn't transparent doesn't mean the image doesn't have an alpha channel embedded. I don't know what Base44 means. Ah, apparently Base44 is a "Vibe Coding Platform for Building Apps and Websites" Don't believe what you read on the internet. The internet isn't true.

Reply to App stuck in "Waiting for Review" after 5.1.1(ii) fix — time-critical migration
that would have been useful advice 5 years ago or whenever the OP's system was created or domains were purchased, but is entirely unhelpful now. I see no indication that the OP has done that. If not, then it would be extremely useful advice as this issue is certain to happen again. And as I said, it has nothing to do with App Review. Some users don't update. Some users can't update. And if a review is going to take weeks and the OP loses all current customers, then why not fix this major problem now instead of repeating it later.

Don't use the comments feature. They hide your replies. For better or worse the App Sandbox is not a good option for our software. That's not what I'm saying. App Sandbox opts you into a lot of modern behaviour and expectations. It's literally the default. But all you need to do is add an unsandboxed XPC service. The whole OS, and random, unsuspecting APIs, run via XPC. You can't avoid it. the moment your app starts using the newer APIs, a few behaviors are clearly different. Certainly. But the old behaviours are deprecated. They may break at any time, especially if root is involved. The nice part is that launch daemons are the intended application for much of these technologies. The official documentation assumes a launch daemon. But if you're trying to do a launch agent, then you have to cobble together information from various places and try to make it work. I did finally get it to work, but it took me a year. But you could just run through the standard examples and see if that exhibits the same behaviour.
