An ampersand bug in stocks app
The native iOS Stocks app search engine contains a character parsing bug that completely excludes Indian stock tickers containing an ampersand (&) from search indices. Major NSE/BSE large-cap symbols like Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) and Amara Raja Energy & Mobility (ARE&M) do not populate in search results by ticker, company name, or numerical BSE code, even though the data is actively available on the back-end data provider (Yahoo Finance). Please fix the text sanitization engine for regional exchange feeds

MacBook Pro apps open unexpectedly after closing lid
This occurred after I had closed all apps before closing the lid. I received answer to this on apple regular support but was told that my post had been removed from the regular support service and the question had been moved here because it involved beta software. I do not recall agreeing to be a part of any beta software participation. I have been having issues with my computer doing weird things which I had communicated to the regular support group (icons for apps popping up on the desktop.... and some were banking related - not necessarily the app icon itself, but one of the files that if clicked would open the banking app) . Does anyone know what is going on and where this problem is coming from. What is going on? I do test software for 1 developer, but that developer has nothing to do with what is happening,.

Subscription products stuck “Ready for Review” ~2 weeks, StoreKit consistently fails to serve products (reproduced by App Review itself)
App: SWIV: Make Tonight Count (App Store ID 6780966934). Our 4 auto-renewable subscription products have been in “Ready for Review” for approximately two weeks. We’ve confirmed via Sentry crash reporting that StoreKit consistently fails to serve these products: [RevenueCat] Error fetching offerings - The operation couldn't be completed. (RevenueCat.OfferingsManager.Error error 1.) None of the products registered in the RevenueCat dashboard could be fetched from App Store Connect. This reproduces identically on our own test devices and was independently reproduced by Apple’s own App Review reviewer during a retest — ruling out any client-side, account-specific, or configuration issue on our end. We’ve verified: Paid Applications Agreement active, product metadata complete, product IDs matching exactly between App Store Connect and RevenueCat, pricing set for all territories. Has anyone encountered StoreKit failing to serve subscription products stuck in “Ready for Review” for an extended period? Any insight into what might cause a persistent backend sync failure like this would be appreciated.

No response to Apple Developer Support ticket (case 102989346509) after 5 days
Hi all, I opened a support ticket with Apple Developer Program Support on 8 October 2026 (case ID 102989346509). I received the automated acknowledgement email the same day but have had no further response since, it's now been 6 days of silence. Has anyone had success getting a stalled support case like this actually picked up? Is there a better channel than the web form to follow up, or is there someone who could take a look at case 102989346509? Thanks in advance.

False "Cool Down" / Overheating Alert in Cold & AC Environments (iOS 27 / iOS 27.2 Beta)
Title: False "Cool Down" / Overheating Alert in Cold & AC Environments (iOS 27 / iOS 27.2 Beta) Device: iPhone 15 Pro (A17 Pro) OS: iOS 27 / iOS 27.2 Beta Body: I am reporting a persistent software sensor calibration bug specific to the iPhone 15 Pro. Issue Summary: The device triggers a false "Temperature / Cool Down Required" system alert specifically when moving into cold or air-conditioned (AC) environments, while operating 100% normally in warm ambient room temperatures. Key Observations & Version Testing: Environment Trigger: The thermal alert appears strictly upon cold transitions (micro-condensation/NTC sensor delta drop). Hardware Verification: I downgraded to stable iOS 26, and the issue COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED in both hot and cold environments. This confirms the physical NTC thermistors and hardware are fully operational. Regression: Updating back to iOS 27 and iOS 27.2 Beta immediately brought the issue back. It seems the NTC sensor readout logic / thermal governor algorithm in iOS 27 incorrectly registers sudden cold temperature drops as a thermal anomaly. Please flag this for the thermal QA team for the next iOS update.

Can I use a foreign bank account for Apple Developer payouts if my company is registered in India?
My company is registered in India, and I receive payouts from the Apple App Store in USD. I’m exploring services like xFlowPay to receive payouts in USD and avoid high bank conversion charges. Does Apple allow using a bank account from a different country than the country where my company is registered for App Store payouts? Has anyone successfully done this, and are there any restrictions or verification requirements?

review ios 27 on iphone 16 pro
I am currently using iOS 27.0 on my iPhone 16 Pro, and I’ve noticed that the native camera app feels very sluggish—even slower than it was on iOS 26. It is particularly disappointing when I tap the screen to focus; the lag is real. Are other users experiencing the same thing?

Recurring Sidecar timeout (-201) on macOS/iPadOS 26.6.2; terminating iPad SidecarRelay restores connectivity
I'm sharing a recovery workaround for recurring Sidecar “The device timed out” failures. I have verified that this procedure restored connectivity on three separate occurrences: October 5, 6, and 12, 2026, using the same Mac and iPad. Environment and symptoms MacBook Air (M4), macOS 26.6.2. iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation), iPadOS 26.6.2. Sidecar used as an extended display over USB. During the failures, the iPad was unlocked and paired/trusted, and the USB network interface remained active and reachable. New Sidecar connection attempts timed out after approximately 10 seconds with SidecarErrorDomain (-201). Recovery procedure Prerequisites: Xcode installed and selected for command-line tools, and an unlocked iPad connected to the Mac via USB. The iPad must trust the Mac and have Developer Mode enabled for this devicectl workflow. Run these commands in Terminal on the Mac: List devices and identify the affected iPad: xcrun devicectl list devices List processes on that iPad: xcrun devicectl device info processes --device "<DEVICE_ID>" Find the entry whose executable path is exactly /usr/libexec/SidecarRelay, and note its current PID. Force-terminate that process on the iPad: xcrun devicectl device process terminate \ --device "<DEVICE_ID>" \ --pid <PID> \ --kill Replace the placeholders with your iPad's identifier and the PID just obtained. Target the iPad-side relay, and obtain a fresh PID whenever the issue recurs. Reconnect the iPad from macOS System Settings → Displays → Add Display, or Control Center → Screen Mirroring. Verified result and limitations On all three occasions, terminating only the iPad's old SidecarRelay and reconnecting restored USB extended-display operation. Neither device needed a reboot, and no account sign-out or settings reset was required. A new iPad SidecarRelay process appeared on reconnection; the Mac-side relay remained running. On the first occurrence, an ordinary termination attempt without --kill left the same iPad process alive; the force-termination step was necessary in that test. This is a recovery workaround, not a confirmed permanent fix. The initiating trigger and internal failure mechanism remain unknown. Controlled tests of normal disconnection, short sleep with the cable connected, and disconnect → unplug → sleep → wake → reconnect did not reliably reproduce the persistent timeout. These results do not prove a deadlock or establish unplugging/sleep as the cause. If you are investigating the underlying trigger, capture diagnostics while the failure is present, before terminating the relay. A similar recovery approach is documented in Lontronix's “Kick SidecarRelay” gist.

How can I start developing my first game with Xcode and Reality Composer Pro on my own? 🎛️
Hello everyone!! 😊🤗 I'm starting to learn development for Apple platforms and I'd like to ask for some guidance on how to get started. My goal is to gradually develop my own video game using Xcode and Reality Composer Pro. The idea is to create an educational game with 3D environments and elements, so I also want to learn programming, experience design, and 3D content creation as I progress ⭐️ At the moment, I don't have much money to afford to hire developers to mentor me or take expensive courses 😔( My mother is sick and all our resources and budget are focused on her and her treatment. ) but I do have something I think is very important: a strong desire to learn, time, and the willingness to study and practice. I don't expect someone else to do the project for me; I want to learn how to build it myself. My main question is: where should I begin? I already have experience playing Swift Playgrounds, and I find it fascinating 🤩 but I'm looking for the next step: I'd like to know what Apple concepts, courses, documentation, or resources you would recommend I study first to learn how to use Xcode and Reality Composer Pro correctly, especially with the Apple Developer tutorials. Which videos specifically do you recommend I study? If anyone started in a similar way or has experience developing apps or games with these tools, I would greatly appreciate any advice on a learning path. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any guidance you can give me! You truly don't know what this means to me. Thank you so much. 🙏🚀
