I’m evaluating an offline profile-card app for iPhone users in the United States. After installation and initial user consent, bringing two iPhones together should automatically display each person’s custom card, containing favorite musicians and their willingness to socialize. Requirements: Neither person needs to open the app before the interaction. The exchange works without internet. No QR codes or external NFC tags are involved. The card appears automatically, rather than requiring a notification tap to open it. Is this supported by any public iOS API or available entitlement? Could NFC & SE Platform support this non-payment use case? If unsupported, which requirement is the blocker? Please distinguish background/suspended apps from apps that the user has force-quit.
