URGENT: Approved update stuck “In Review”

Hello App Review / App Store Connect Team,

Our scheduled update launches in approximately 10 hours, but we are unable to release our already-approved iOS update due to conflicting statuses in App Store Connect.

App details:

App ID: 1510097347
Version: 8.1.103
Build: 9251
Submission ID: 352b7824-0706-48df-afff-7ce0e7e5123a
Scheduled launch: October 23, 2026, at 12:00 PM KST (03:00 UTC)

We received the approval email from Apple. The App Review page shows “Review Completed,” and the only submitted item is marked “Approved.”

However:

The main app/version page still shows “In Review.”
We cannot release the approved update.
Attempting to change the version release settings produces an error: “An error has occurred. Try again later.”
We requested an expedited review, but were informed that there was no submission awaiting review.

This inconsistency has persisted for over two hours. We have contacted support, but our launch deadline is rapidly approaching.

We are requesting urgent investigation of an approved submission whose release remains blocked. Could an App Review or App Store Connect staff member please check the submission and version states, help unblock the release, or escalate this to the appropriate team?

We have not withdrawn or resubmitted the approved build because we do not want to lose the existing approval or introduce further delays.

Please let us know immediately if any action is required on our side. We are available to respond right away.

Thank you for your urgent assistance.

The approval email and “Review Completed” / “Approved” submission are good evidence that the review decision was approval, but the version page showing “In Review” is a conflicting App Store Connect state. Because the scheduled launch time of 03:00 UTC has now passed, update your existing support case with the current status and say the release is still blocked. Include the submission ID, app ID, version/build, the exact error, and screenshots of both pages. Ask App Store Connect Support to reconcile the version status and release controls.

I would not withdraw or resubmit an approved version while Support is checking it. If the version later changes to “Pending Developer Release,” the account holder, admin, or app manager can use “Release This Version.” If it shows “Processing for Distribution,” Apple says it can take up to 24 hours to appear.
