App stuck in “Waiting for Review” despite confirmed expedited review — October 2026

Hello Apple Developer Community,

We are experiencing an unusually long App Review waiting period for our application, CasAzar 1.0 (Build 5), despite receiving confirmation from Apple that our expedited review request had been accepted.

Timeline:

  • October 3: Initial submission entered Waiting for Review.
  • October 4: App Review requested additional information under Guideline 2.1. We provided the requested demonstration videos, review credentials, and supporting documentation.
  • October 4–13: The application remained in Waiting for Review.
  • October 13: We submitted Build 5 after proactively correcting a connectivity recovery issue identified during testing. The new build was successfully validated on a physical iOS device through TestFlight.
  • October 16: Apple confirmed our expedited review request, stating: “We’ll expedite review for CasAzar.”
  • October 20: We contacted Apple Developer Support to confirm the status of the expedited review.
  • October 22: CasAzar remains in Waiting for Review, with no further update from App Review or substantive response from Developer Support.

We are preparing a time-sensitive sports engagement activation associated with the upcoming Real Madrid vs. FC Barcelona match on October 25, 2026.

We fully understand that an expedited review does not guarantee approval or a specific completion date. However, given the extended waiting period and Apple’s confirmation that the review would be expedited, we would appreciate any guidance from Apple staff or developers who may have experienced similar delays after receiving an expedited review confirmation.

At this point, we do not want to withdraw or resubmit the application, as the current Build 5 is complete, tested, and ready for review.

Thank you for your time and any guidance you can provide.

same.

I’d leave the submission in the queue if Build 5 is the version you want reviewed. An expedited request can move a case up, but the confirmation doesn’t give a review date or guarantee when it will start. Check the submission page for any unresolved item or message, and make sure the latest build is attached to the version. Since you already have a support case, add the submission ID and the October 16 expedite confirmation there rather than opening more duplicate cases. If the October 25 activation is the reason for the urgency, mention that date clearly in the existing case. I wouldn’t upload another build unless you found something that actually needs fixing.
